The Head of Mission undertook a working visit to Finland from 13th to 15th March 2026 to participate in the 69th Independence Day celebration organised by the Ghanaian community. The event brought together members of the diaspora, distinguished guests, and friends of Ghana in a vibrant display of unity and national pride.
In her keynote address, the Head of Mission commended the Ghanaian community for its continued contribution to national development and highlighted government priorities under the 2026 theme, “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope,” including macroeconomic stability and youth empowerment initiatives.
She also reaffirmed Ghana’s standing as a peaceful and stable democracy and encouraged continued unity and active engagement within the diaspora.
A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of the new leadership of the Ghana Union in Finland, with outgoing executives honoured for their service and incoming leaders sworn into office, marking a new chapter for the community.
